Duende owes a good deal of its early success to the visionary planting and farming in remote area of northen california. This a 100% cabernet franc from a twenty-five year old vineyard between lodi and the sierra foothills. Red dirt, morning fog, hot days, cold nights. Dark berries, plums, and currents on the nose. A full, broad palate of ripe fruit, tannin, spice, and iron on the finish. This wine wants red meat, a few years in the cellar, or both. Irresistible.
