The grapes for our Syrah came from a single vineyard in the far-western expanses of the Russian River Valley. A cool-climate style of Syrah, as opposed to the super dark, over extracted, jammy style that has become so prevalent on the Syrah/Shiraz scene. This Syrah is of lighter complexion, with all the spice, earth and mouth watering acidity that the Rhone Region of Southeastern France is famous for.
With a big, gamey nose and beautiful fruit, this Syrah is the perfect wine to share with friends and family. The acids and tannins blend wonderfully in this wine, making it delicious now while giving it the ability to age for several years.
